Catapult Lakeland Tour+Social Hour Hosted by Polk County Exchange Committee

Exciting things are happening in Polk County! Latest census data shows that Polk County is currently the fastest-growing county in the state and the top county in the country that people moved to in 2023. In 2022, nearly 30,000 people migrated to Polk County, and 26,000 more residents moved in just last year.

Christin Strawbridge, President of Catapult, will be on hand to share her plans for Lakeland and discuss the impact Catapult has had on our community. We’re also pleased to welcome Steve Scruggs, President of the Lakeland Economic Development Council, who will join us to highlight broader economic initiatives in the region.

Catapult, founded in 2014 by the Lakeland Economic Development Council, has grown to more than 250 members, awarded over $400,000 in grants and launched upwards of 45 businesses—making a measurable impact on Lakeland’s and Polk County’s economic development.

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the ULI Central Florida Polk County Exchange Committee with an in-person tour of Catapult Lakeland, followed by a casual social hour at The Joinery, just next door. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
