    Join us for this important virtual event on May 4th. Moderated by Cindy Campbell, Seyforth Shaw LLP, this conversation with: Vernice Atkins-Bradley, VotumJohn Crossman, Crossmarc Services; and Sonia Huntley, Urban Land Institute SVP of Diversity Equity and Inclusion will cover uncomfortable and important territory.
     
    We will discuss the challenges of being “the only one in the room” and navigating systemic discrimination, unconscious bias and other challenges without losing authenticity; how to be a better ally; and what ULI is doing to further diversity, equity and inclusion. Join us for honest conversations about the real estate industry and women and people of color.
     
    After the main session, we will open break out rooms for more intimate conversations between the participants and the attendees.

    John Crossman

    President, CrossMarc Services

    John is an active speaker and writer on a national scale, and he has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Shopping Centers Today, Shopping Center Business and CBS News Radio. John is passionate about diversity and education, and he serves as an executive board member for both the Florida State University Center for Real Estate Education and the University of Florida Bergstrom Center for Real Estate. John has held numerous leadership positions with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) since 1997, and he is Past President of the Central Florida chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). John serves the community through active participation in numerous organizations including the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida, March of Dimes, American Diabetes Association, and Central Care Mission. John earned his Bachelor of Science in Real Estate from Florida State University and was named an Honorary Alumnus by the University of Florida.
